Crocus Hill Dressing Room

Located in a historic Crocus Hill home, an underutilized bedroom adjacent to the primary suite presented an opportunity to create a more functional and organized dressing space. The room was reimagined as a custom dressing room with carefully planned storage, including tailored cabinetry, generous hanging space, and a large central island with integrated drawers for folded garments and accessories. An expansive countertop provides a practical surface for folding laundry and organizing daily essentials.

To streamline daily routines, a second-floor laundry was incorporated into the layout. With the washer and dryer conveniently accessible from the dressing room, clothing care becomes a seamless part of everyday living for everyone on the level.

New hardwood flooring connects the dressing room and laundry area to existing rooms, creating a cohesive transition that respects the craftsmanship and character of this 100-plus-year-old Crocus Hill residence while introducing modern convenience. The result is a thoughtful extension of the primary suite—organized, timeless, and designed for busy professionals.

Adjacent to the dressing room, an existing bedroom was also refreshed for the homeowners’ daughter, with soft pastel blue walls, a custom armoire, and an arched plaster niche with built-in shelving that adds both storage and a playful architectural detail.
